Promontory Divide Pass

Promontory Divide
is a barely-noticeable ridge and pass along Colorado State Highway 69. It is at
the border between Huerfano and Custer counties.
Looking at Google Maps, the pass was not signed in the past,
so few knew about it. CDOT added the sign within the past few years.
The elevation at the pass is 8,579 feet. It's a pass because
it divides up two minor watersheds (Antelope Creek and Muddy Gulch), both of
which eventually drain to the same place — the Arkansas River.
The pass is located in the southern part of the Wet Mountain
Valley. ⚒
